Tween 80 can be used as a wetting agent, emulsifier, lubricant, diffuser, etc. It can also be used as a component of polyamide fiber and viscose cord tensioner, as well as some eye drops. In the food industry, it can prevent splashing, slow down aging and improve taste. It is often used as an ice cream emulsifier. Polyurethane foams are also used as emulsifiers in the production of polyurethane foams. In the laboratory, it can be used as a stationary liquid for gas chromatography to separate alcohols, ketones, esters, hydrocarbons and fatty acids. 1. Twain 80 Tween 80 (Tween 80), also known as Tween 80, Tween 80 and Tween 80, is a non-ionic surfactant and emulsifier, which is prepared by ethoxylation of sorbate and oleic acid and is often used as an emulsifier in food. In the 85, 90 and 2005 editions of Pharmacopoeia, the name is polyoxyethylene 20 sorbitol anhydride monooleate. Soluble in mineral oil, corn oil, dioxane, fibrinolysin, methanol, ethanol, ethyl acetate, aniline, toluene, petroleum ether, cottonseed oil, acetone, carbon tetrachloride, 5% dilute sulfuric acid, sodium hydroxide, sodium sulfate, aluminum chloride. 2. Identification methods (1) Take the solution of this product (1 20) 5 ml, sodium hydroxide test solution 5 ml, boil for several minutes, cool, acidify with dilute hydrochloric acid, show milky white turbidity. (2) Take the solution of this product (1 20), add the bromine test solution, the bromine test solution will fade. (3) Take 6 ml of this product, add 4 ml water and mix well, showing gelatinous substance. (4) Take the solution of this product (1 20) 10ml, add cobalt ammonium thiocyanate solution (17.4g ammonium thiocyanate and cobalt nitrate 2.8g, add water to dissolve into 100ml) 5ml, mix well, add 5 ml trichloromethane, shake mix, after standing, trichloromethane layer appears blue. |
